went for dragon boat orientation for school today.... at the end of the orientation.. Instructor A attempted to throw B into water.. and I assisted... next thing i know after throwing him into water... the 2 of us were pushed into the water by students... coming out of water... i was mumbering to myself... "karma..."

3 hours past the incident.. i realised how lucky i was.... we were on a platform and a boat was in front of us when we carry Instructor A towards the water... throwing him in between the boat and floating platform was dangerous as he may hit his body against the platform or boat.. so we stepped on the boat and threw him down..

B was pushed away from the boat, dropped at the side of the A... I dropped in between the platform and boat... i donno how i fell in... I think i missed the edge of the platform by a margin..... i would have knocked my back of the head against platform hard...

SAVA sprint has been interesting... not the way they organise though... but the sprint is interestingly fun..

there is this particular team.. short form is CAM SUR Philipines... their rowing is like sewing machine... fast man...probably 2 - 3 strokes per seconds... kinda like this team cos they were all fisherman.. its only when they won a rowing competition in singapore then they get water and electricity for their village...they literary have to win all competition.. its their liveliood...

Their female team even won Singapore's national girls... their timing beats us too.. 48 secs for 200 m race... amazing..

Surprised to see New Urban Male Rowers in SAVA...met them in the Open category... In comparison... they are all chunky guys team... we have 8 ladies and 1 uncle, the rest middle age...
Our difference in timing is only less than 1 sec...

Reason why they so slow? .... one reason from fellow rower.. (Mature Theme)

Background info : NUM drummer was told to push down the dragon head cos it was up before the race...

i realised why i am so tired even though i ended work early.. in a sense...

assuming i get 8 hours of sleep...

i will have to sleep at 2130h, wake up at 0530h and start work at 0730 - 1330. I will have to wait 8 hours before i get my sleep...

for normal jobs.. 9-6, i will have to sleep at 2330h, wake up at 0730h and work till 1800hr. I only need to wait for 5.5 hours before i get my rest.

2.5 hours dont seem long.. but it matters i guess...

Caught another roach in office... was trying to get it under a shelf.. so was lying on the floor... I used broom to disturb him so that he can run to a place where i can catch him... in the end.. he ran straight towards my face.. i can literally see his kamikaze expression... kudos to its effort in smashing its face against mine, i caught it with plastic bag before it reaches my face...

looking back at that, the reason was simply laziness and the aching after working out... Seriously, my interest on stuffs rarely last for such a long period.... knowing Gemini... everything is a 3 miniute interest...

Nope I am not motivated to get a nice physical body... if i am, i would have gone to gym with cai and feng few years ago...The sport is just.... great.

the dragon boat race was fun...

Sat...
1st race was the open category.. 1st and 2nd placing will qualify for semi final..
we won by just 0.2 sec.... a tongue length i suppose. haha...1.55 min...quite an achievement for amateurs like us.....

2nd race suppose to take place.. but cancelled due weather .. so we continued on sunday...

event starts at 7.30am.... 4 teams were competing.. same thing.. 1st and 2nd placing gets into semi finals... The boat was literally tilting to the right as there were 2 ladies on the left...T_T... in the end the left side can hardly catch any water at all.. seriously tilting... we came in third.. but the 2nd team got disqualified cos they went into other lane, lol..... 1.54 min..@_@ faster despite the tilting...

Anyway the semis for open falls on race 39 and semis for PA CSC falls on race 41... too close so we went for race 41 .. higher change... well.. lost... but we were less than 4 secs apart... let me wait for our timing...i hope we reach 1.50 min...

my executive director is seriously out of his mind....asking me who approved meals for professional training workshop.... which is him... then telling me he cant answer to the management committee when the budgeted was $5 per head.. while invoice reflect $3... way below the budget...

the only thing was.. the qty reflected was for 50 pax... he was just imbalance mentally for the fact that there were alot of wastage of food on the first and last day... told him I had done my best to ask caterer to cater for les than 50 .. but he is still eyesore about the wastages.. i even ask the staff to take the food....

seriously.. the argument with him was unnecessary.. it was not about work.. more of his personal value... no wastages.. From the conversation can see he just wanna win...

New moon, decided to go to my classmate's mum's funeral.

my cat has moved to his new place .. probably permanently... kinda not use to it..

news was that the new owner has a female cat with her.. rather anti social type.. they hissed at each other on the first day. today's news is that they share the same "toilet"... i wonder how they can stand each other's smell... shen he resting, the other cat wont disturb when exploring.... vice versa.. seems like they have their own territory le.... not a very stress free environment...when the owner carry the other cat, he will show his teeth when the owner tries to carry him...

gotta note down what i learn today.. lest I forget them,..the most important thing in primary school is not homework or revision, but languages.

To learn spelling is not by hearing, but by using visual memory...

To learn language well, pri school student student has to learn 7 vocab a day... how? basically to know the pronunciation.. it makes things easier for them... to facilitate in learning the meaning... buy a software to facilitate the searching for definition... powerword 2007 is recommended.... revision should take place... cos within 24 hours with no revision, 80% of the info is lost... thus to retain that.. one have to revise it at least 6 times...

problems faced by parents normally.. lazy.. no interest.... reason being they don understand what they are doing or reading... so just do the above.. then they will understand what they are reading... its crucial....

trainer for the students werent available today for the school program.... so we came out with our own program for the secondary students.... So i came out with a stressor.... meaning.. an activity that cause stress to them...

adopting playfish game " WHo has the biggest brain"... I gave them 2-3 seconds to complete each of the questions... Failing to pass the test, they will have to stay back after school for the rest of the year... hahaa... nice plot...

they were all so quiet when they did the first few questions... then sounds of complaints came from them when the questions got harder.. haha... so funny.... but can see who were those that will try and who will just plainly give up just after 10 questions...

So i announced the results... failing those who had their answers filled in.. there is this particular girl... she was asked by her friend... so she say fail lor.. face so disappointed.. then we announce saying the game was just to stress them...

kinda funny when they do the questions.. tried hard not to laugh for the 2 sessions... haha... it was so funny... should do this often... haha....nah.. stress is bad for health... they still have a long way to go... . I am halfway to the end liao...

My ex office has this water dispenser... Normally the contractor will bring 6 20kg bottle water to exchange for the 6 used bottle every 3 weeks....

My ex colleague told me when the guy came after i leave the organisation they still have 3 20kg bottle full.. meaning I drank 10kg of water every week... and were wondering who drank so much water...... hahaha... the other 6 shared 1 bottle each week.. while i have 1 bottle for myself... i live on water...

Went to Amitabha Buddhist Centre... 10 years ago they were just at a small unit... I remembered it was quite lok kok.. 10 years later.. wa.... a building of 7 storeys...how fast they grow... they can do so many activities...

1st time release life.. changi beach.. a nice experience... the crabs were strong... some were active sia... their pointed legs keep poking my hand....trying to push my hand away... actually if hold their behind.. should be quite safe... so probably not necessary to throw them out...

Quite an experience.. haha... from mahayana to theravada to
vajrayana... was quite surprise when they have a multiplying chant... increase merits by 100 k times... eyes got star..

realise I gotta take a nap on sunday... its a must.. Tired ar...zzzzzz

Tried 2 indian dishes on my rest day....

veggie cutlet and potato yogurt curry

veggie cutlet was half complete... the potatoes were too soft for me to mould to shape and dip it in flour and bread crumb... the effect of bread crumb was good.. the rest were disastrous..
I should have baked them for a while to dry it up.. so that i can better mould them into shape..
But probably the potato was the problem.. compared those I bought with those my sis in law bought... hers were harder after boiled..In the end.. the potatoes were made into spring roll...

Yogurt curry was quite alright...was lackng several ingredients like bay leave and paprika...
paprika suppose to be red lantern pepper powder... but the store owner gave me something like nuts....dont dare to try.... anyway.. i put too much water... a little bit too much yogurt... makes it abit sour.. dint get the taste right when i first boil the mixture.. but the taste came after boiling it for awhile.. wonder why.. next time will add tomatoes, carrots and cabbage to make it sweet...

Realised i have been neglecting my thigh... can hardly walk now after training session with mr ang...upper body is still alright... well.. at least i know the type of exercise I should engage for dragon boat...those i done on my own was ... PUi ....

Dint occur to me i should consult ang for appropriate exercise... haha.. can engage him as personal trainer...thinking of taking a BEFORE and AFTER pic.. for his portfolio after 3 months.

Efforts in trying to start a new year ahead by being a vegetarian was foiled once again...

Was looking at my dinner... curry fish.... pumpkin with radish.. chopped bean sprout head with donno wat veggie... great.. so i can still have 2 dishes.. not that bad.... was munching happily on the pumpkin.. one of my favourite... was watching show at the same time... almost finishing, i looked at my bowl... saw few small eyes staring at me....

procrastinating isnt a good habit.... but i really wonder why results are better when i procrastinate.... ok .. except when paying bills....

eg.

1) lost wallet.... bro wants me to hurry to report to police.. i wanted to wait abit... but decided to report to police and have my atm card suspended since i changed it to the GO! card.... debit card.... should have just opt for normal card.. then i no need worry... but just as soon as i suspended my card... the one who found my card called me.... =.=... reactivate again

2) mum closed the factory long ago.. the industrial sewing machine was with me at my place for .. say.. 3 years? haha... dad always want to give it away or sell it.. cos its really expensive.... so.. ang work in shanyou and got in contact with Ven WenJing, whom my mum knew... and apparently my mum brought my sis there when she was young... so it happen that i went to her place and saw sewing machine... so i offered to her... well.. its only now that i know Ven wen jing and my mum knew each other.... fate has it that the sewing machine is for venerable.... dana from my mum to venerable...

3) . cant remember... i know there are many incident where i procrastinate and things became better... =.=" wierd.. but.. hope it does not become part of me... haha.. .. sometimes i get into trouble when i do things too fast though...

I think this is interesting.... from SGH... now i know exactly how rice ends up in my nose when i cough.....

As a food channel, the pharynx plays an important part in the beginning of swallowing.
1) As a food bolus is pushed back by the tongue into the pharynx,

2) the nose chamber is sealed by the soft palate so that food does not enter the nose.

3) The pharynx then squeezes the bolus down by muscular contraction.

4)As the bolus passes the voice box, the vocal cords close to prevent choking.

5) At the precise moment when food reaches the opening of the oesophagus, the oesophagus opens and the food is passed down into the stomach.

All these actions take place in split seconds. Swallowing is finely controlled by the brain which receives its message from sensory nerves in the pharynx. The brain then directs the soft palate to seal off the nose, the pharynx to contract, the vocal cord to close and the oesophagus to open.

-Failure of the tongue to push the food bolus back means that swallowing cannot be initiated.
-Failure to seal the nose chamber allows food to go into the nose.
-Failure of the pharyngeal muscles to contract results in difficulty in swallowing.
-Failure of the upper oesophagus to open at all or to open at the wrong time causes difficulty in swallowing and choking.
-Failure of the lower esophagus to prevent stomach contents from reaching the pharynx causes reflux
-Failure of the vocal cords to close at the right time causes choking.

Had a dream... was jumping from building to building.....hated the feel when your jump is unsuccessful... the feeling of falling from tall places really unbearable...woke up suddenly with heart thumping hard and fast... =.=" this kind of dream gonna kill me one day (heart attack)

remembered last time i had the same dream for consecutive 3 times.... was about me entering a shop house.. but inside it was a slanted platform... below it is another city with roads... it was dark... for 2 times, i slipped, couldnt hold tight and fell.. the 3rd, i managed to pull myself out.. think that is when the dream stopped...

i lost my wallet once again...donno isit in chalet or dragon boat... i had the feel to check my bag when wanling ask me to pay her for the present... well... whether i check it or not.. think it will still be lost...there goes my only primary school pic .. i think...

3 times in 28 years. For both times i recovered my IC... money gone only. well.. i dont think this time i am that lucky...

Bhante warn us of 2012....Fortune teller said I will be having a bad 4 years from 28 -32.... I wonder wats planned in front of me so badly.... 4 years.... wa... can i take it or not...received my Great Eastern policy statement.... maturing in 2012... when i going to be 32.... oh my.. too much of a coincidence...seems to indicate that I be facing financial difficulty... the policy might just be the life saving pill.. though its not much...

Think i need to save ... be prudent... should i shelf the plan of being a teacher next year? ar....each step i take now is going to affect my future...think my bad karma catching up on me...
